SERVICE CHARGES
DID YOU KNOW.

I contacted the accountant at Peabody last year, my last email was June this year,
I asked why do we pay service charges TWICE for lift and door entry sysytem.
Lets focus on LIFT AND DOOR ENTRY SYSTEM.

DEPRECIATION DOOR ENTRY SYSTEM 0.37
MAINTENANCE DOOR ENTRY SYSTEM 0.41
DEPRECIATION LIFT 3.19
MAINTENANCE LIFT 1.66

5.63

Every tenant pays 5.63 a week...............WHY... we should not be paying for DEPRECIATION
Maintenance OK BUT for example............

My block..lift always broken.....Door entry has been broken for 6 MONTHS.
NO MAINTENANCE.....If anyone else agrees with me we should all CONTACT PEABODY and demand and explanation of WHY we pay DEPRECIATION.and why IMPORTANT MAINTENANCE
is not MAINTAINED!!!!
Oh,I'm still waiting for a reply from Peabody!

easy way to get some action.

STOP PAYING THE CHARGE!

just deduct it from your rent. If Peabody make threats, tell them "fine, take me to court", Once you get into court a judge will force them to reimburse any charge for the lift for the entire period it has not been working.... so if the threaten it's a bluff basically.

You should not be paying a service charge for a service you dont get.

If they try and create "arrears" on your account for the charges you aren't paying, go to CAB and get that fixed, again because they cant charge you for a service you do not receive.

I noticed that I was being charged for the maintenance of door entry systems, even though there aren't any on the block I live in. It's a scam.
